Clark County!

I will be at Clark County this weekend taking pictures with my new camera! I will be posting my pictures on photobucket. http://s1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb460/holeshothotties/

Lets talk about racing atv’s in the North West.

::::::Warning Reed is typing:::::::::

Racing atv’s in the North West is unlike any other place in the U.S. You have to doge the rain. Some times ride on the same day as dirt bikes. Race in the woods. All sorts of challenges that sometimes hamper the turnouts of NW races.

NWQNIm not going to dance around the elephant in the room that is NWQN. www.fantomzatv.com FZA had a 14 round (7 weekend) series that went from Spokane to Albany and all the places in between. This series still needs work but is improving year by year. With a steady rider count of about 70 entries per day. (I totally guessed so I might be way off) NWQN has its following of riders that are going to stick by that series’s side through thick and thin.

Woodland.Its been there for ever and hopefully will be there for years to come. It got a nice track redesign this year by the “trackmasters” The track looks really fun and they always have decent turn outs.

MotoXposer series.www.pittraffic.com Brand new this year. Being put on by Megan from pittraffic. Its a series within a series. I have a hard time explaining it so go to the link above for more info. But its going to be fun I can promise u that.

Clark County.Put on by Elaine Derrick and Promoto promotions. www.promotopromotions.com Its tight Indoor during the winter. Elaine always puts on a great event and really cares about the quad community. And she even rewards her loyal riders by letting them ride during the spring (? might be fall) clark county fair in front of hundreds of people.

Cody E. at the re-designed Woodland.

The future.
I have heard talks of Quadcross coming up here, of Devol having a mini quad series. DWT world atv championship series is coming to Washougal this summer. All in all things are looking good if you race an atv in the northwest.

What I have been up to.

Hello internet world, Reed Petchnick here. Lets talk about what I have been up to. A lot of you know I have recently tore my ACL and messed my knee up pretty good.

I was in Richland Washington attending the last round of NWQN. Friday practice went very well. I was throwing down some fast lap times and hitting lines no one else could. Saturday morning I got up ready to ride. I was one of the first people to hit the track. I had been looking at doing the “old” finish line triple the previous day. So I decided to give it ago since the track was super smooth and I saw a dirt bike do it the lap before. I remember coming over the jump before it at a good pace. I clicked 4th and went for it. Flying through the air thinking “wow, this is a lot farther than I thought.”

I landed right on top of the landing. I felt a sharp pain in my left knee. At that point I thought I had just jammed my foot like I did at Clark County the summer before. I pulled off the track and went to get off my bike. Then the worst part came. I went to move my knee. It didn’t move. I put pressure on it, and popped it back into place. At this time all the pain started to set in.

I would like to thank Josh Pursell for stopping and seeing if I was ok after two other ridders road right past me. My dad and Sean Clinton came over to me and assessed the damage. After getting off the track and back to the box van, he said I may have torn my ACL and to go to the ER right away.

So here I am today, 2 months later. I still haven’t had surgery yet. Due to a complication between my physical therapy and orthopedic doctor, and a blood clot that sent me to the ER for the second time.
